Dr. Glenda Culbertson D.C. is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College. She treats patients with injuries & pain, ranging from headaches, jaw pain, low back pain, other joint pain, stress induced injuries and sports related injuries. She also has a special interest in working with adolescents. In addition, she has a focus on the treatment and rehabilitation of patients who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents. Dr. Culbertson has a gentle, but effective approach to treatment that may combine manipulation, craniosacral, and/or other modalities such as muscle stimulation or ultrasound. She is committed to creating a comprehensive treatment plan that is both effective and meets your individual needs.
Following graduation from chiropractic school, Dr. Culbertson spent time in India, learning yoga rehabilitation protocols. She teaches a weekly rehabilitation class for those involved with motor vehicle accidents. The intention of the class is to learn a wide range of movements to speed healing and help meet the physical therapy needs of these patients. There is an additional emphasis in the class on stress relief, which is achieved by utilizing breathing techniques, and progressive muscle relaxation/biofeedback exercises. Having herself experienced the trauma of an auto accident she comes from a place of understanding and compassion. The education Dr. Culbertson has received, allows her to offer you thorough injury assessment and diagnosis and a holistic treatment plan to address mind, body and spirit following the trauma of an accident.
When Dr. Culbertson is not in the office, one of her greatest joys is trail running and skate skiing. She also enjoys learning the art of Tai Chi, and complementing that practice with Qigong. Dr. Culbertson was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and was raised in a trilingual environment (English, Spanish, Portuguese). Having attended a spanish immersion school she is bilingual and welcomes patients from all ethnicities and backgrounds.
Kalina Scherer, D.C.

Originally from Ontario Canada, Dr. Scherer traveled to upstate New York to attend New York Chiropractic College. It was her love of the environment that drew her to Oregon and her lifetime immersion in all aspects of renewable energy that brought her to North Portland Wellness Center. A chiropractic patient herself since age 5, Dr. Scherer credits chiropractic adjustments with her and her family’s good health and active lifestyles.
Dr.Scherer’s calm energy and warm demeanor makes her an ideal Physician for nervous patients or those new to Chiropractic. She believes in patient centered care and earning the trust of her patients. She will not proceed with a treatment plan until all questions have been answered and the patient knows what to expect. With a touch that is firm yet gentle, Dr. Scherer is successful in treating patients of all ages and body types.
Certified in Graston Technique, Dr. Scherer uses a series of specially designed stainless steel tools to locate and treat both chronic muscle problems that have been plaguing the patient for years and acute muscle spasms brought on by the rigors of everyday life. Graston Technique has also been shown to reduce the adhesions produced by scar tissue and has been very successfully used in the treatment of conditions such as carpal tunnel and tennis elbow, often eliminating the need for surgery. Not ready to stop learning, she continues to attend seminars to expand her skills and has completed classes in Kinesiotaping and is certified in Animal Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
